Hi there, I’m Iulia.
My work so far has been about alchemizing complex circular economy strategies and concepts into engaging campaigns, making big ideas accessible and connecting them with the right audiences through the right channels.
I am experienced in the worlds of sustainability and the circular economy, but at the heart of it, I’m just passionate about good storytelling and meaningful change.
After 15+ years of studying and working in the UK, the Netherlands, and Chile, I’m now based in Romania, my home country. My work and dedication to building meaningful connections keep me engaged with people around the world, something I truly enjoy.
When I’m not working or volunteering, you’ll probably find me in nature: hiking, practicing yoga, reading, or capturing moments through my camera. As a meditation teacher, I value both movement and stillness — finding the balance between curiosity and presence.

In November 2022, I relocated to my hometown of Iași, Romania, and have since been working remotely as a freelance communications consultant with businesses and NGOs around the world.
During this time I have been leading on all communications for the Business Coalition for a Global Plastics Treaty, continued my collaboration with The Ellen MacArthur Foundation, and have partnered with other organizations to explore fresh communications approaches, including Condé Nast and Stena Circular Consulting among others.

Between 2019 - 2022 I lived on the beautiful Isle of Wight, UK, from where I led on all communications for the Foundation’s finance, plastics and policy programmes.
I mobilized talented internal and external teams to co-design and execute successful global, multi-channel campaigns to a high standard, often within tight deadlines

Between 2018 and 2019, while living in London, I led on the development and implementation of strategic external and internal communications plans for a civil and structural engineering practice with offices in Nottingham, and London’s Fitzrovia, and Wimbledon.

Between 2015 - 2018, while based in London, I led on sustainability projects with FTSE 100 clients around the world, from shaping the initial insights and strategy to the development and implementation phases.
I managed a +£1 million per year portfolio, consistently exceeding KPIs and expectations.
